Remembering Lisa Hengel

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our beloved office manager, Lisa Hengel, and her husband, Tom.

Lisa was one of those rare people whose kindness was immediately felt by everyone she met. She was a genuinely compassionate soul who cared deeply for her family, friends, coworkers, and the many people she connected with through her work. Lisa loved her colleagues and consistently went above and beyond, whether lending a helping hand, making a holiday party or birthday feel extra special, or fiercely advocating to ensure payroll was always delivered on time. She was truly the backbone of Ledden Palimeno.

For 33 years, Lisa’s dedication to her role as office manager exceeded anything we could have asked for. She took immense pride in her work and built lasting relationships with our customers and vendors. We believe she truly loved her job and her extended family at Ledden Palimeno, and that love showed in everything she did.

Outside of work, Lisa most cherished her time with her husband, Tom. Together, they shared a love of gardening and created a beautiful seasonal garden around their back patio each summer. Their faith was central to their lives, and they faithfully attended Mass every weekend. When Tom wasn’t at a track meet, they enjoyed spending time in Lancaster and, on special occasions, traveling to South Dakota to visit family and ride horses.

Lisa also loved to entertain. She was always preparing a meal to share, whether hosting loved ones at home on the patio or gathering with family at another’s home. These moments were often filled with laughter, homemade pizza, and the joy of being surrounded by family.

Lisa was extremely close with her parents, sisters, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Most recently, she was overjoyed by the arrival of her great-nephew and delighted in sharing every update with us.

We extend our most sincere sympathy to the Hengel and Falzarono families and share in the heartbreak of this sudden and profound loss. To have known Lisa and Tom was an absolute blessing. They made us better people by leading with kindness, love, faith, and generosity, and they will be deeply missed.
